New Tat

The Doomsday Clock conveys how close humanity is to catastrophic destruction–the figurative midnight–and monitors the means humankind could use to obliterate itself. First and foremost, these include nuclear weapons, but they also encompass climate-changing technologies and new developments in the life sciences that could inflict irrevocable harm.

It’s a symbol I’ve come to adore so much besides that, midnight is my favorite hour and the concept of time itself has always captured me. so why not lol

What a day!

I stopped by the hospital in order to get my eyes checked, ’cause let me tell you, having people question whether or not you do drugs on a daily basis is really annoying especially when you never do it and never will. I don’t even know what being drunk feels like! I was perscribed eye drops until my eye doctor appointment. I hope I won’t need glasses…

Work was…interesting lol. Overall, my boss was fired right when he was about to leave to go on a weekend of fun for his cousin’s engagement. He was already in trouble for taking every weekend off and leaving the other shift leaders, such as moi, to run the restaurant, which we only get 7.75 an hour so NO we don’t get paid enough to do that shit. It was surprising still…I mean we all knew it was coming, just…I guess on a professional level I hated working with him but off-duty, I was pretty fond of having him around. It was really easy to joke around with him…Bon voyage, Satyam! I still have his cell phone number…should I delete it?

Jujutsu was…WOW. I haven’t worked out like that in forever. But it was fun lol. I’m tired and achey right now, but damn I feel energetic in a way. I’m going to have to throw a punching bag over my head two days out of the week now…lol wow. But the end result will be worth it (vigilante juju…jk lol).

The Runway

<I’m poetically boring, I know. But it’s just another way for me to lash out my opinions which don’t hold the right to be said. Today was one of them. Miguel is one of my oldest friends, a “bro”. We’ve been through a LOT, long talks about relationships, long talks about the future, long talks in general. Hell, we spent five hours in a Subway sandwich shop once talking about everything we could think of. 
He asked me to go with him to that modeling thing at the mall. He was nervous, no need to though. Great looking guy with an outgoing personality. I would have never been able to go up there, I envy him for that. And respect him, even more. Photos and out:

3-D my ass and goodbye parties galore

One phrase. 3-D. When the filmmakers decided to make My Bloody Valentine in 3-D I don’t know if whoever suggested it at the board of directors meeting was just joking like ‘Fuck, we might as well put it in 3-D if it’s THIS bad’ or not, but…wow that movie was horrible. It was good in the sense of a date flick where you wanna be freaked a little and cling to your partner (I’m the one in the relationship who lowers in the theatre seat thank you very much), but other than that obvious notion you find yourself looking for when you purchase the tickets, there’s nothing special about this movie. Same ending as high tension, main character equals killer in some psychotic manner, same stereotypical frights, strategically placed gore, and obnoxiouslly naked women as any other horror flick trying to stimulate the sales in the movie business.
-     Only difference is:
a) It has Dean from Supernatural (he’s SUPERNATURALly sexy haha);
b) it’s in 3-D (which I had to keep reminding myself throughout the movie because I could have sworn from me and Al’s angle it just looked like the ENTIRE screen was pushed forward when you had the glasses on, and not a single thing in the film was digitally made to pop out at you, CRAP);
and
c) the storyline was so bland and chalk-full of stuff the audience never gave a crap about, that compromising oral sex bets* on who the killer ended up being was a better solution for spending eight dollars on that crap film (and keep in mind, movie theatres refuse ticket refunds past the thirty minute borderline of the film you’re seeing)

We ates at Al’s pizza, always great. Cheap too! Five dollars for lunch (yay)

Then to Lindsey’s for her going away party. I was kind of dreading today for that reason. It feels so weird that she’s…leaving…and I won’t be able to see her or visit her at Winn Dixie or whatever whenever. She’s actually…leaving. At the party we surprised her (her family and me, ron, audrey, who I just met today but seems pretty interesting and kind, and kelly) we ate some OMEGA chocolate cake from kelly’s work and just talked and talked and talked. Kelly’s changed a lot. Months ago she hung out with tons of people from high school and didn’t really seem focused. Now she spends time with very few of those people and is trying to figure out some kind of life goal. It’s strange. I guess I thought I was the only one going through the whole after high school life changing experience. It seemed that way. But, apparently, after talking to her about all our old friends and associates,

…a lot is happening in everyone’s lives. Allysson has kidney problems. Linds is going navy. People have lost touch with BFF’s. Forest is moving to Panama City. Brian has ditched the idea of college and is letting his mother guide him and clean after him even when he has moved out (I use the term ‘moved out’ lightly because one has to stop being totally dependent on their parents in order to be considered INdependent, which = ‘moved out’). Kelly might be going army or navy. Ashly is going army. Garrett is doing better after his father died on his birthday last month. Julia is at UF being successful and trying to figure out men. Leslie got pregnant from Kyle and they’re doing…whatever it is they’re doing. Love that was supposed to last ‘forever’ didn’t. Dreams were dropped and new ones picked up. Friends were dropped and new ones picked up. Everything. Everything, and everyone, CHANGED.

Then we talked about the U.S. economy and what the future might bring. Never saw that coming. People, who a year ago were so focused and upset about she said this and he said that, were now concentrating on global economics. Never. Saw. That. Coming.

I left a bit early to head to Ashly’s birthday/good luck celebration. I cried in my car before heading out though. On a sheet of paper on Lindsey’s fridge that everyone signed before leaving I left:

“I’m glad mrs. Cressman made me help you back in the 4th grade. Love you loads (Friends 4ever) – Jason”

…that’s how we first met. Still remember most of that memory to this day…I hope I’ve been there for her as much as she has been for me. even though I haven’t really realized it ’til now. I didn’t really need anyone else but her when all the troubles in my life occurred. Eric. Coming out. Gutch. Don. Everything. I wish I had known that before…

Ashly’s party was okay. I wish I had been able to speak to her more. Jeremy kept me company. I’m gay and all, but i can hold up a conversation about staying in shape forEVER. Don’t know why. I love my Ashly. I was too tired to cry for her leave, but I probably will tomorrow.

Got bored at the party and then left to complete the night with the usual rendezvous activities with the gang. Love ending nights with them. Especially long days like these…

So I picked up a breath trainer on the navyseals.com page. It’s called a POWERLUNG trainer.

Basically you work out your lungs by breathing and exhaling into this device. It WORKS you! Oh buhjesus it works your lungs like their its bitch!

I also plan on picking up Jujutsu lessons. I have to call the martial arts dojo tomorrow and schedule and pay and all that jazz. I’m super stoked.

I guess I’m trying to just find ways for me to enjoy being…me. Staying in shape is something I love to do and at the same time something I do well and makes me feel better. I think I’ve been trying to do too many other things that other people succeed at while I fail at them, and haven’t really bothered keeping up with stuff I myself am good at. I’ve gotten back into my hobby of video games too over the past couple months also, which I am so proud of.

I’m an athletic nerd. Ha, and I’m SO proud of it .

Sidenote: I’ve always wanted to be physically in shape to that extent of a martial art. I’ve always looked up to superheroes and vigilantes. They lead such exciting lives. If I had the chance to be one, would I? (Totally)

Animals just might rule the human species (I hope I’m not their carriage creature)

I think animals are much smarter than humans tend to believe. They communicate with each other, even to different species for that matter (i.e. a cat and dog sometimes do have some common grounds), evolve much like humans (they adapt to new threats and environmental changes around them), and there are even homosexual species (dolphins, lions, you name it). Not that homosexuality is the pinpoint of perfect evolution, but it does show how close to humanity animals are. In ‘Animal Farm’ a coup d’etat occurred and the once peaceful pigs and roosters and horses and other farm animals overthrew their masters and developed a society fitting their own wills, wants, and ways. Humans, slaves to upper class or even old common folk to kings and queens, have overthrown the higher social classes, as well. So when is the next rebellion? Who is the hero and who is the villain? Which side calls for a change in power while the other demands repression to their call? Humans and animals have coexisted for so long, and history shows that the trained Siberian tigers will eventually kill their loving masters and the bear-loving zoologist will be eaten alive or when his or her back is turned. Animals aren’t stupid, I’m afraid. And their right to power, their Animal Kingdom, may in fact be on the horizon. Just a thought…

Watchmen

If you have not read the graphic novel, do so. It’s more than a comic book. It’s a marvelous and complex work of literary and animated art. If I were to be any superhero, I would be a Watchman. They have as many problems as everyday people, which many are exposed in the grahic novel. They’re REAL superheroes. Nough said.
